Singapore FinTech Festival

18 – 20 November 2026 · Singapore EXPO

The eleventh edition of the Singapore FinTech Festival brings more than 70,000 decision-makers from over 140 countries to Singapore EXPO. It is the largest fintech event in Asia.

Why it might be worth the flight

SFF is where the Monetary Authority of Singapore sets out its direction for the year, and where the region's banks and regulators are all in one building. For a stablecoin company operating across APAC, it is the most concentrated regulatory and institutional audience of the year.

Paying while you are there

  • If you are based in Singapore this is the cheapest major conference of your year. Spend the saving on the pass.
  • Tickets and hotels are usually priced in dollars already, so there is nothing to convert.
  • At the card machine, choose the local currency. Never take the offer to be billed in dollars.

Step 1 · The ticket

Get into Singapore FinTech Festival

Priced in dollars. Paid in dollars. Nothing lost in between.

Official tickets

Passes get more expensive the longer you wait, and the good side events fill up from the main ticket list. Book the pass first. Then the travel.

Know before you tap

Two rules that save you real money abroad

  1. 01

At the card machine, always choose the local currency

Converts once, at a flat 1.8% Forex Charge.

Why the dollar option costs more

The machine will offer to charge you in dollars instead. It sounds helpful. It is not. Choose the local currency - baht, yen, won, whatever is on the screen - and your money converts once, at a flat 1.8% Forex Charge.

Taking the dollar option is called dynamic currency conversion. The shop sets that exchange rate, not Visa, and it usually costs you 3% to 7%. You will never see it listed as a fee, because it is hidden inside the rate. That is the point of it. Say no, every time.

  2. 02

Online, pay in dollars when the site is already in dollars

Nothing to convert, nothing to pay. 0%.

Why this one is not a trick

Booking sites, conference tickets and airlines often quote in dollars already. That is not a conversion trick. That is just the price. Your money is already in dollars, so there is nothing to convert and nothing to pay. 0%.

Hotel in dollars. Flight in dollars. Ticket in dollars. Three charges, no conversion on any of them.
