Questions

Before you convert

What is a mid-market rate?

It's the midpoint between what buyers and sellers are quoting on the open market — the rate you see on Google or Reuters, before anyone adds a margin. It's the rate we show here.

Will I get exactly this rate when I spend?

You'll get the mid-market rate at the moment of the transaction, plus the applicable fee shown in the table above. Rates move, so the figure at checkout may differ slightly from the one here.

How often do the rates update?

Every 60 seconds for exchange-sourced pairs. ECB reference rates update once per business day.

Do I need an account to use this?

No. The converter is free and open to anyone. You only need the Kite app if you want to actually spend at these rates.
