Kite will never ask for… (non-custodial safety rules)
If someone claiming to be from Kite asks for any of these, it's a scam. Don't share the information or take the action.
Your OTP code
We will never ask you to share an OTP code. OTPs are for you to enter into the Kite app only. Sharing an OTP gives someone else access to your account.
Your login credentials or private keys
We will never ask for your password, private keys, recovery phrase, or any credential that gives access to your wallet. If anyone does, they're trying to steal your funds.
To send crypto for "verification" or to "unlock" your account
We will never ask you to send crypto to us for any reason. Your funds don't need to be moved to verify your account, unlock features, or receive support.
Remote access to your device
We will never ask to screen share or remote into your phone (through apps like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or screen-share tools). Scammers use remote access to see your OTP codes and login info.
Contact you first on WhatsApp, Telegram, or social media
Kite support doesn't reach out first on messaging apps or social media. If you receive a DM, group invite, or WhatsApp from "Kite" or "Kite support", it's fake.
Downloads from outside the official app stores
Kite is only available on the official App Store and Google Play. We will never ask you to install additional apps, APKs, or browser extensions.
Official channels
The only official places to contact Kite are:
- The in-app support chat
- care@kiteapp.xyz
When in doubt, open the Kite app and message support from there instead of replying to an unsolicited message.
