Bridge funds to another network

Bridging moves your tokens from one blockchain network to another. Use it when your funds are on one network but need to be on a different one, for example, if the recipient can only receive funds on that network.

Before you bridge

  • Make sure you have the tokens on the source network (the network you're bridging from).
  • Know which destination network you want to bridge to.
  • Most bridges complete in 10-30 minutes, but they can take longer during periods of high network activity.

Steps

  1. Tap Convert in the Kite app.
  2. Select your networks. Choose the source network (where your funds are now) and the destination network (where you want them to arrive).
  3. Choose the token and enter the amount. Select USDC or USDT, then enter the amount. Kite shows the estimated cost and completion time before you confirm.
  4. Review the details. Double-check the source network, destination network, token, and amount, then tap Continue.
  5. Wait for the bridge to complete. You'll receive a notification when your funds arrive, then switch to the destination network in Kite to view your updated balance.

Good to know

  • Bridging takes longer than transfers on the same network because the transaction has to be completed across two blockchains.
  • Once the bridge is complete, switch to the destination network in Kite to see your funds.
