Swap tokens in Kite (USDC, USDT, etc.)

Swap lets you exchange one token for another directly in your Kite wallet (for example, USDC to USDT). Swaps happen on the same network and usually settle within seconds.

Before you swap

  • Make sure you have the token you want to swap from.
  • Check that both the token you're swapping from and the token you want to receive are available on the same network.
  • Know which token you want to receive.

Steps

  1. Tap Convert in the Kite app.
  2. Pick your tokens. Choose the token you have (the From token) and the token you want (the To token). Both tokens must be on the same network.
  3. Enter the amount. Kite shows the exchange rate, any applicable fees, the estimated amount you'll receive, and the minimum you'll receive.
  4. Review the minimum you'll receive. This accounts for slippage, the small difference between the quoted price and the price at which your swap completes. If the price moves beyond the allowed slippage, the swap won't go through.
  5. Tap Confirm Swap and authenticate. Your balance usually updates within seconds, though some swaps may take a few minutes.

Good to know

  • If a swap fails, your funds remain in your wallet. See "Swap failed / reverted."
  • Receiving slightly less than the quoted amount is normal due to slippage.
