Swap failed / reverted

A failed or reverted swap means your swap couldn't be completed. No tokens were exchanged, and your funds remain safely in your wallet.

Why it happens

Swaps can fail for a few common reasons:

• The price changed more than the allowed slippage between the quote and execution.
• You don't have enough of the token you're swapping from.
• There isn't enough liquidity for the token pair or the amount you're trying to swap.
• The network is busy or temporarily unstable.

When this happens, the swap is automatically cancelled rather than completing at an unexpected rate.

What to try

• Check your balance. Make sure you have enough of the token you're swapping from.
• Try a smaller amount. Large swaps can run into liquidity limits, so splitting your swap into smaller transactions may help.
• Wait a few minutes and try again. If the market is moving quickly or the network is busy, retrying later often works.

• Your tokens never leave your wallet if a swap fails.
• You won't be charged any Kite swap fees if a swap fails. Any network fees, if applicable, are determined by the blockchain and aren't charged by Kite.
