Phone login & OTP: how it works
You can sign in to Kite using your phone number and a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS.
How to log in
- Open the Kite app and select Phone number.
- Enter your registered phone number, including the country code.
- Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your phone by SMS.
- You're signed in.
Note: If you're creating a Kite account for the first time, you'll need to provide both your phone number and email address during sign-up.
Good to know
- OTPs expire after 5-10 minutes.
- If you request multiple OTPs, only the most recent one will work.
- Never share your OTP with anyone. Kite will never ask for it.
Other ways to log in
You can also sign in using:
- Apple
- Email + OTP
Troubleshooting
I didn't receive my OTP
Wait a few minutes, then:
- Check that you have cellular signal.
- Make sure you're able to receive SMS messages.
- Request a new OTP if needed.
If you're still having trouble, see "OTP not received / delayed."
My OTP isn't working
- Make sure you've entered all 6 digits correctly.
- If you've requested multiple OTPs, use the latest one.
- If your OTP has expired, request a new one.
I've been locked out
If you've entered too many incorrect OTPs, you'll need to wait 30 minutes before trying again.
I no longer have access to my phone number
If you can't access the phone number linked to your account, contact care@kiteapp.xyz. We'll verify your identity before helping you regain access.
