App shows different balance than explorer

The block explorer reflects what's actually on the blockchain, so it's the source of truth. Kite usually catches up within seconds to a minute.

Quick fixes

  • Pull to refresh on your balance screen and wait a few seconds. This clears most cases.
  • Check the network. Make sure the explorer you're looking at is for the same network Kite is showing. Kite supports Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum One, BNB Smart Chain, and Optimism.
  • Check the address. Confirm you pasted your Kite wallet address into the explorer exactly as it appears in the app.
  • Give it a minute. If you just made a transaction, the app and explorer may not be in sync yet. Wait and refresh.
  • Update the app. Make sure you're running the latest version of Kite.

Other reasons the numbers can differ

  • Unsupported tokens. The explorer lists every token an address has ever received, including tokens Kite doesn't support or display. Only supported tokens appear in your Kite balance.
  • Dust amounts. Very small balances (under about $0.01) may be filtered from the Kite display.
