Understanding transaction statuses
Kite shows a status for every transaction. Here's what each one means.
Pending
The transaction has been submitted and is waiting to confirm on the blockchain. This usually takes a few seconds to a few minutes depending on the network.
What to do: Wait. Check back in 2-3 minutes. If it's still pending after 10 minutes, see "Send onchain pending / stuck" or look up the transaction on a block explorer.
Completed
The transaction has confirmed on the blockchain. For sends and swaps, your balance updates shortly. For receives, the funds are now usable.
What to do: Nothing. If your balance hasn't updated after a minute, pull down to refresh.
Failed
The transaction didn't go through. Common reasons include insufficient balance, an invalid destination address, or a rejected swap.
What to do: Check the error message in the transaction details, fix whatever caused the failure, and try again. No Kite fee is charged when a transaction fails.
Authorized (card only)
Your card payment has been approved by the network. The merchant will later settle the transaction (usually within 1-3 days), at which point it moves to Completed.
What to do: Nothing. "Authorized" is the normal state for an approved card transaction until the merchant settles it.
