Card top up from USDC/USDT
Top up your Kite card with USDC or USDT to turn stablecoins into dollars you can spend. Your wallet and card balances are separate, so a top-up moves funds from your wallet to your card. Top-ups are free, with a 0% conversion fee.
Steps
- Open the Card section in the Kite app and tap Top Up.
- Choose your token and network:
- USDC on Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum or BNB Smart Chain (BSC)
- USDT on Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or BNB Smart Chain (BSC)
- Enter how much you want to add, in the token you chose. The minimum top-up is $0.11.
- Check the summary. It shows the amount leaving your wallet, the 0% fee and the amount that will reach your card. With no fee, the amount that leaves your wallet is the amount that reaches your card.
- Confirm and authenticate.
- Wait 5–10 minutes for the top-up to settle. Your card balance will update, and a Top-up entry will appear in your Transactions tab.
Fees
Card top-ups have a 0% conversion fee, so you get the full amount you top up. You’ll always see the fee and the final card amount before you confirm.
Good to know
- You can top up at any time, even when your card balance is $0.
- Your wallet balance and card balance are separate. You can only spend your card balance on card transactions.
- If your card balance hasn’t updated after 10 minutes, check the Transactions tab for the top-up’s status.
Troubleshooting
If a top-up fails:
- Make sure your wallet has enough USDC or USDT to cover the amount.
- Try a smaller amount.
If your wallet balance went down but your card balance hasn’t updated:
- Wait a few minutes. Top-ups usually settle within 5–10 minutes.
- Check the Transactions tab for the top-up’s status.
- Refresh the Card section to load your latest balance.
