Getting your Kite card (what it is / eligibility)

The Kite card is a prepaid Visa card you load with USDC or USDT from your Kite wallet. Once topped up, the balance is in USD and you can spend it anywhere Visa is accepted.

How it works

  • Top up your card from your USDC or USDT balance any time. A 0.53% conversion fee applies to each top-up.
  • Card balance and wallet balance are separate. Only the card balance can be spent on card transactions.
  • Once funds are on the card, they're in USD. Price changes in USDC or USDT don't affect what's already loaded.
  • Spend anywhere with your card: online, in stores via Google Pay, and soon at ATMs.

Who can get one

To request a Kite card, you need to:

  • Be 18 or older.
  • Be a resident of a supported country (Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, and South Korea).
  • Have completed KYC in the Kite app.

How to get your card

  1. Complete KYC if you haven't already.
  2. Go to the Card section and tap Get Card.
  3. Review and agree to the terms.
  4. Kite reviews the request and issues your virtual card.

Once issued, the card is active in the app. You can top up and start spending right away.

Good to know

  • See "Kite Card fees & limits" for spending caps and fee details.
