How to send USDC/USDT to someone

You can send USDC or USDT from your Kite wallet to another Kite user or to any compatible external wallet.

Before you send

Make sure you have:

  • Enough USDC or USDT to cover the amount you're sending.
  • The recipient's preferred identifier or wallet address.

How to send crypto

  1. Tap Send in the Kite app.
  2. Select or enter the recipient. You can send using a contact name, Kite username or handle, nickname, phone number, email address, wallet address, or QR code.
  3. Choose the token (USDC or USDT) and the network.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Review the transaction details, including any applicable fees.
  6. Confirm the transaction.

Once confirmed, your transaction is broadcast to the blockchain.

Supported networks

You can send on:

  • Base
  • Ethereum
  • BNB Smart Chain (BSC)
  • Polygon
  • Arbitrum One
  • Optimism

If you're sending to an external wallet, make sure the recipient supports the network you've selected.

Typical confirmation times:

  • Base: under 1 minute
  • Arbitrum: under 1 minute
  • Optimism: under 1 minute
  • Polygon: 2-5 minutes
  • BNB Smart Chain: 2-5 minutes
  • Ethereum: 5-15 minutes

You'll receive a notification once the transaction is complete.

Before you confirm

Crypto transactions generally can't be reversed, so always double-check the recipient, the token, the network, and the amount. If you're sending to an external wallet for the first time, consider sending a small test transaction first.
