Send onchain pending / stuck

Most crypto transfers are confirmed within a few minutes. If your transaction has been pending longer than expected, here's what to do.

Expected confirmation times

Confirmation times vary by network:

  • Base, Arbitrum One, Optimism: under 1 minute
  • Polygon, BNB Smart Chain: 2-5 minutes
  • Ethereum: 5-15 minutes (may take longer during periods of high network activity)

If your transaction is still within these timeframes, it's usually best to wait a little longer.

Check the transaction status

  1. Open the Transactions tab.
  2. Select the pending transaction.
  3. Tap View on Explorer.

The blockchain explorer will show the latest status.

If the status is Success

The transaction has been confirmed on the blockchain. If Kite hasn't updated yet, refresh the app by pulling down on the Home or Transaction screen.

If the status is Failed

The transaction wasn't completed, and your funds remain in your wallet. See "Send onchain failed" for troubleshooting steps.

If the status is Pending

The transaction is still waiting to be confirmed by the blockchain. This is usually caused by temporary network congestion and resolves automatically.

Still pending after 30 minutes?

If the blockchain explorer shows the transaction as Success but Kite still shows Pending, or your transaction has remained Pending for more than 30 minutes, please contact care@kiteapp.xyz and include:

  • Transaction hash
  • Network used
  • Amount sent
  • Recipient address
  • Approximate time you initiated the transaction

Our support team will investigate the transaction.

Good to know

While a transaction is pending, your funds remain safe. A blockchain transaction will eventually either confirm or fail, it won't disappear in the meantime.
