How to top up USDC/USDT to Kite

You can deposit supported cryptocurrencies into your Kite wallet from any compatible exchange or external wallet.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • A supported token in an external wallet or exchange
  • The network you'll be sending on
  • Your Kite wallet address

Your Kite wallet uses the same address across all supported EVM networks, but you must select the same network in both Kite and the sending wallet or exchange.

How to deposit

1. Copy your wallet address

  • Open the Kite app, tap Receive, and copy the wallet address or use the QR code.
  • After pasting the address into your sending wallet or exchange, double-check that it matches exactly.

2. Send your crypto

In your exchange or external wallet:

  • Select the supported token you want to send.
  • Confirm it's the same network as Kite.
  • Paste your Kite wallet address.
  • Enter the amount.

If you're depositing from a new wallet or exchange for the first time, it's a good idea to send a small test transaction before transferring a larger amount.

3. Wait for the transaction to confirm

Typical confirmation times by network:

  • Base: under 1 minute
  • Arbitrum One: under 1 minute
  • Optimism: under 1 minute
  • Polygon: 2-5 minutes
  • BNB Smart Chain (BSC): 2-5 minutes
  • Ethereum: 5-15 minutes

If you're sending from an exchange, it may take additional time to process and broadcast your withdrawal before it reaches the blockchain.

4. Check your balance

Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, your balance will update automatically. You'll also receive a notification, and the deposit will appear in your Transactions tab.

If your deposit doesn't appear

First, check that:

  • The network selected in your sending wallet or exchange matches a network supported on Kite.
  • The transaction shows as Success on the appropriate block explorer.

If the transaction is confirmed, pull down in the app to refresh your balance. If your deposit still hasn't appeared after 30 minutes, see "Onchain transfer or deposit pending" for troubleshooting steps.

Important: Sending crypto to the wrong wallet address or using an unsupported network may result in permanent loss of funds. Blockchain transactions can't be reversed, so always double-check the address, network, and token before confirming your transfer.
